Golang Job: Senior Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer to support our enterprise technology client based out of Austin, TX and Hopkinton, MA.

Responsibilities:
* Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Go (Golang)
* Develop Kubernetes Operators/Controllers in Go to automate infrastructure tasks
* Implement CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications (e.g. ArgoCD)
* As a Senior Software Engineer, you will troubleshoot and debug issues in distributed systems running on Kubernetes
* Security best practices in Kubernetes (RBAC, network policies, OPA)

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on cloud platforms
* Must have experience with Golang (API, Operators, CLI) build, upgrade, deploy
* Hands-on experience with Open Service Broker for service automation
* Experience in developing Kubernetes operators using Go
* Experience with both NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
* Experience with Helm, Terraform, or Ansible for infrastructure automation
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
* Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd
* Experience working with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
* Kubernetes advanced knowledge (RBAC, storage, ingress, HPA, helm, manage and create deployment YAMLs, CRDs)
* Strong expertise in Kubernetes (managing clusters, deployments, RBAC, networking, and storage)
* Familiarity with Kubernetes-based private cloud environments
* Understanding of cloud-native architectures and best practices
* Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
* Linux
* Proficiency in .NET Core and microservices architecture
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
* Contributions to open-source Kubernetes projects are a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
